A lot of people including myself get bummed on how seemingly boring Canadian graffiti can be compared to say, Germany or Australia. Here's some shots from my hometown Kamloops, it's not big a city but it has a big railroad community. As a result the kids grow up seeing a lot of graffiti.
Abraham Orellana, known as Araab Muzik, is a pretty fresh member of Dipset. Not personally a top choice for brand of hip hop for me, but watching this kid beat his MPC is extremely impressive. Take a peek!
This track is pretty interesting. I'm really feelin' the keyboard in the back. Kanye, Hova and Nicki have some pretty solid lines throughout. But I gotta say, Nicki Minaj holds it down on this track. She's FHYA. "and I'm all up in the bank with the funny face, and if I'm fake I ain't noticed, because my money ain't". She delivers it better than it sounds when it's read...but still...FHYA. As a point of interest, I feel that this song (especially the hook and the flow and cadence of Jay-Z and Mr. West) draws a lot of parallels in style to an emerging group from brooklyn called Das Racist. Here's a video just to check out!
Check these kids out! Identical twins hailing from the city of angels, they began performing professionally at 8 years. They've made appearances for the MTV awards and T.V. specials such as "Honoring Duke Ellington". Sean and John have got it goin' on!
I don't personally collect toys because I don't have the money or room in my apartment that said I love them. I have always loved Pinocchio and Kaws is one of my favorite designers, I really like the way this collaboration turned out.
